Samsung has officially launched its second-gen Galaxy A5 (2016) and Galaxy A7 (2016) for India, after unveiling them at the Samsung Forum 2016 event. Both Galaxy A5 and A7 will be available to the Indian market via Snapdeal from February 15, for $433 (INR. 29,400) and $492 (INR. 33,400), respectively. The devices will be available in in three colors: black, white, and gold.

The 2016 models are different from their predecessors. The 2015 Galaxy A series was completely made from metal, whereas, the new models have a metal chassis with a glass back. The Galaxy A7 has a 5.5-inch HD, AMOLED display with 16GB internal storage, 3GB of RAM, external memory microSD slot, Wi-Fi compatibility, 13MP back camera, 5MP front camera, and Bluetooth connectivity 4.1. The phone is powered by Exynos 7580 SoC and has 1.6GHz octa-core processor, and 3300mAh battery that gets charged quickly.

The A5 has similar features, but is a bit smaller. It has a 5.2-inch HD display with 2GB of RAM, and 2900mAh battery. Similar to the 2016 A7, the A5 2016 model comes with a fingerprint sensor, which is located at the home button and has Android 5.1 Lollipop. Chances are that the tech giant may also release the A3 (2016) in India, along with the A5 and A7.
